Onion Creek Coffee House Bar and Lounge is the epitome of a neighborhood gathering spot. Thanks to Houston’s lack of zoning laws, the members of the Heights neighborhood have a kicked-back, easy going place to enjoy good food, a great variety of beverages, and an amazing outdoor atmosphere.
Find your way to Onion Creek if you are looking for a simple, yet tasty meal or if you are looking for a place to have a few drinks with some friends on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Onion Creek is open late 7 days a week (until 2am) so if you’re looking for that late night caffeine hit this place is a great option. Also, if you find yourself reminiscing about floating down the Guadalupe River near Austin, TX while lounging at Onion Creek, don’t be surprised, the owners conceptualized the idea for this place while floating the river.

- Chicken Pizza – lots of melted cheese, chicken breast, and bacon on slices of ciabatta bread
- Perro Caliente – all beef hot dogs smothered in cheese, bacon, and jalepenos

Onion Creek is just one restaurant in a family of Creek establishments. Fair warning though, parking can be an issue here. The Onion Creek lot is small so don’t be surprised if you have to settle for parking along the neighboring streets and hoofing it a few blocks.
