The burger joint once exclusive to the Washington D.C. area has recently expanded into a bonified burger chain that is finally creeping into the Greater Houston Metropolitan area and we at MHL are raising “Hallelujah!” to the burger gods. This is one tasty burger!
When you walk into a Five Guys, you immediately think burger joint. From the diner-style red and white checkered board decor to the wall of fresh potato sacks that lead you up to the order counter, you know you are in for burger nirvana.
So a quick Five Guys burger ordering tutorial for those who plan on making their first visit to a Five Guys. The burgers at Five Guys are double-pattied (that’s right, that’s the norm there), if you want a smaller portion, order a “little” hamburger, cheeseburger, etc. All additional toppings are free so be sure to take advantage and stack some goodies on top of your burger. Available toppings range from the classic ketchup and mayo to a few more gourmet options suchs as grilled mushroom and onions.
In addition to getting your hands on a mouth-watering, juicy burger, make sure you get an order of their daily, fresh-cut fries (cajun style for those who like a little kick on their spuds). Be forewarned though, the orders of fries here are super-sized — a regular order can feed two easily.
Most of the Houston locations right now are located in the Uptown area with a few locations out further into the suburbs. Don’t be surprise if you start to see Five Guys pop up all over town though, these burgers are that good!
