So this post was suppose to be posted this morning rather than an hour and a half prior to tip-off but as they say, better late than never. For those who have not caught March Madness, prepare to have it catch you! The NCAA Tournament has landed in our very own backyard as four teams –Baylor, Saint Mary’s, Duke, and Purdue- battle it out on the hard court to determine who advances out of the South Regionals of the Sweet Sixteen this weekend at Reliant Stadium. Cinderella team Saint Mary’s faces off against the “home” team, Baylor Bears in the early game (tip-off at 6:27 CT), while number-one seeded Duke will face Purdue (who edged past my beloved A&M Aggies in the last round *sigh*) in the late game.
There’s still time to grab tickets from ticket outlets such as stubhub and head out to Reliant Stadium to catch some great college basketball or better yet, check out our Bars section and find a bar to watch the games with what I am sure will be a bunch of raucous fans!
In a tourney filled with several upsets already, will #1 Duke be waving goodbye to their hopes of a national championship tonight?
